GANGBAR

Redesign of Reitan Convenience’s private label containing a broad range of fresh and tasty food and drink to-go. We helped them with creating a new strategy, name and design.

The name Gangbar, a traditional Norwegian word, can be directly translated to “walkable” however, it’s meaning is more associated with "valid"/”accepted” - something of good quality. In other words, the name reflects on both the quality of the products as well as a solution for people to stay “functional” throughout the day. The name also reflect on the fact that the products are easily enjoyed on the go.

These associations became natural to include in the design as well, through a dynamic and modern design language. By using a relatively simple but clear design strategy, Gangbar’s shelf impact has improved drastically, leading to greater knowledge of the series broad product range and higher sales.
